What the course is

Essential TEFL trains new teachers to plan, teach and manage English lessons. Over four weeks you learn how to teach grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, how to develop the four skills and how to work with young learners and adults. The course includes observed teaching practice with real students in Thai schools, so you know what a classroom feels like before your first job.

No teaching experience is needed and you do not need a degree to enrol, although Thai schools normally ask for one. You must be at least 22 with a good command of spoken and written English.

Why Kidsangsan is on the certificate

Kidsangsan Language School is a private language school approved by the Thai Ministry of Education. Essential TEFL runs from the school, and the 120 hour TQUK approved certificate is issued through it. The name on the certificate is one Thai schools and employers recognise, and the training happens in the same building where we teach English every day.

After the course

Essential TEFL works with Essential Educational Staffing, the teacher recruitment company based in the same building, which places native English speaking teachers in Thai private, bilingual and international schools. Eligible graduates get help with their CV, interview guidance and introductions to suitable schools.
