Who the course is for
Intermediate students can listen to English and reply in a basic but clear way. They follow songs and films with some effort, read English without difficulty and look for chances to use the language. What they want now is accuracy: the right tense, the right word and the confidence to speak at length.
The course is open to students who have passed our beginner course, high school students from M3 upwards and anyone from age 12 who passes the placement test.
What you will learn
- Speak with more accuracy and detail in longer conversations
- Write clear paragraphs, messages, emails and short reports
- Follow films, news and conversations between native speakers
- Use the grammar and vocabulary needed for university and the first years of work
- Handle real situations such as interviews, presentations and travel

How the lessons work
Lessons are built around speaking and writing tasks that mirror real life. You prepare, perform and then get feedback in the moment from a native English speaking teacher who holds a British teacher training certificate. Grammar is taught in context, as you need it, and revisited until it sticks.
Classes are small and grouped by age where possible, so you learn with people at your stage.
Assessment
Your teacher assesses you throughout the course on:
- Class participation
- Completing the set exercises
- An oral examination
- Formal assessments at the end of the course
Students who pass move up to the advanced course.

Is the intermediate course enough for university entrance?
It gives you the grammar, vocabulary and confidence to study in English. If you are preparing for a specific entrance exam, we can add exam practice through private lessons.
What is the difference between Intermediate and Advanced?
Intermediate makes your English accurate and useful in everyday, school and work situations. Advanced is for students who already communicate well and want precise, natural English for professional life and higher study.
