I have had the pleasure of teaching and working in Bangkok for the past 15 years. I have gained much in both my personal and professional growth during this time.

I was consistently paid on time, kindly given sick and vacation leave when needed and had regular class observations which provided helpful feedback to improve my teaching abilities. They even gave us gifts at Christmas time which was a very kind gesture.

Teaching is one of the most rewarding careers a person can have. It can be fun, challenging and stimulating all at the same time. Working with Thai students and seeing their eyes light up when they start using English for the first time is great. Seeing them work in groups, or doing role plays, reading and writing in English or interacting with foreigners with ease and confidence is really good part of my working day. Be open-minded and enjoy the experience, there is so much to be gained.

I feel that I learn as much from the kids during the day as they learn from me, which is what should happen.

Being a teacher in Bangkok, Thailand can be lots of fun. Working with the students in English is a very rewarding experience.

. I enjoy working in a more “hands on” approach with group work, role plays, lots of conversation opportunities and activity based learning as my focus. In this way the kids get to experience a more real, everyday English usage environment.

This also boosts personal confidence in using English and talking to foreigners.
